Free guided hike offered by Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation. Hike begins at the summit of Mt. Greylock, the highest mountain in MA, with its 92’ tall granite WWI war memorial, the stone and timber Bascom Lodge, and spectacular views in all directions. The trail follows the Appalachian Trail northward, past Mt. Williams, across Notch Rd. and out onto Prospect Mt. for an excellent view down over Williamstown. Descend steeply to Pattison Rd. in North Adams. Meet at 9:00 am, Appalachian Trail parking lot, Pattison Rd., North Adams and carpool to summit. Click for map. Moderate.
