What better way to celebrate π (3.14159…), the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, than with pies? Join Rural Lands for Pi(e) Day!  We’re holding the event on Saturday instead of Wednesday (3.14) so more folks can join us.

·         Bring a pie to share! Rural lands loves pie and coffee in the morning!  Get creative – they don’t call it pizza PIE for nothing. Also welcome: Quiches, galettes, hand pies, tarte tatin – any pie you can dream! WRLF will provide beverages and our own favorite pies.

·         Bring a second pie to enter in the Pie Exchange! Please use a recyclable aluminum pan, or any dish you don’t mind trading away. Upon entering a pie in the Pie Exchange, you’ll be given a raffle ticket. At 11:15, we’ll pull the tickets. When yours is called, you’ll pick a pie from the untouched, pie exchange table to take home.

·         Sheep Hill is home to great, post-pie activities: Two scenic walking loops, one an easy half-hour, the second a moderate 45 minutes.

Free for those contributing pies, $5 suggested donation for those solely judging (eating) the pie entries.  Questions?  Email ruraland@wrlf.org
